City Gallery School Thematic Tour Scheme

City Galley of Planning Department has introduced “School Thematic Tour Scheme” to facilitate the study of Liberal Studies for secondary school students and General Studies for primary school students. Guided tours through our interactive exhibits can be arranged with an aim to enhance their motivation to learn more about past, present and future planning and infrastructural developments in Hong Kong. They will also be introduced to the use of our Resource Centre to conduct further research on these subjects.

There are two thematic tours structured under two main series “Today’s Hong Kong” and “Energy Technology and the Environment” adapted for the Liberal Studies and General Studies curriculums to suit secondary and primary school level educational needs. Specific topics are designed for students to enhance their understanding of the planning process in Hong Kong and our living environment, as well as on issues relating to heritage, transportation and communication, and sustainability concerns.
